I'm seeing an error message and being asked to re-link my bank account. What should I do?

Occasionally, our account-linking partner may experience connection issues with certain financial institutions that require you re-link your account. If one of your linked accounts becomes disconnected, you'll see a message prompting you to re-link it.

Most financial institutions remain available for re-linking. However, some institutions may temporarily become unavailable or may not provide all of your historical transaction data after you reconnect your account.

In most cases, you'll be automatically taken to the re-linking flow. Simply follow the on-screen prompts to reconnect your account.

If you're not redirected automatically, you'll be asked to search for your financial institution before continuing the re-linking process. Once your account is successfully re-linked, your previous transaction history will usually be restored. However, the amount of historical data available depends on what your financial institution shares.

If you search for your financial institution and it doesn't appear in the results, you can add your account manually by following these steps. You can also check back later, as new financial institutions are regularly added to our account-linking partner's supported list.

When you re-link an account, we attempt to restore your historical transaction data. However, not all financial institutions provide the same amount of transaction history. Some may only share a limited date range, which means you may not see all of your previous spending history after reconnecting.

If your financial institution has this limitation, you'll see a message before you complete the re-linking process letting you know that some older transactions may not be restored.

We recommend proceeding with the re-link so your account can resume syncing new transactions. While some historical data may be unavailable, new transactions will continue to appear normally going forward.
