Trouble Signing In: “Password Change Required”

If you see a "Password change required" message, it means your password couldn't be verified, either due to a system update or incorrect entry.

To fix it:

  1. Click "Forgot your password?" on the login page.

  2. Enter your NerdWallet email.

  3. Check your inbox (and spam/junk) for a reset email.

  4. Follow the link to set a new password.

Then, return to the login page and sign in.

Still can’t sign in?

  • Ensure you're using the correct email.

  • If you signed up with Apple or Google, use those buttons.

  • If you don't receive the reset email, contact support using the Chat Modal or [email protected]

Tip: Resetting your password won't affect your account info, linked accounts, or saved data.
