There are two ways to remove an account from your spending and balance view: Hide — keeps the bank connection active but removes the account from calculations like "How this month compares" and "Top categories." Only the selected account is affected. Unlink — fully removes the bank connection. Important: unlinking one account from a bank will unlink all accounts from that bank, not just the one selected. Follow the steps below for whichever option fits your needs.
Hide an account (keeps bank connection, removes from calculations)
Log into your NerdWallet account.
From the HOME tab, tap on the account you want to hide from calculations.
Scroll down and tap on the slider next to the option you want:
Hide from Net Worth only OR
Hide from calculations
Unlink an account (fully removes bank connection)
⚠️ This will unlink all accounts from the same bank, not just the one selected.
1. Tap the hamburger menu (☰) in the top corner.
2. Tap Financial info.
3. Tap Linked financial institutions.
4. Tap the account you want to unlink.
5. Tap the blue Unlink account link at the bottom of the screen, then tap "Yes, unlink."
6. Tap the X in the top right corner to return to the Home section.
To relink your accounts, visit the Cash flow tab and tap the + sign at the top of the screen.
