Auto Loan Marked Closed on Credit Reports but loan is still open.
Last month I noticed one of my auto loan accounts was removed and listed as "closed" I have not had the car in over a year, it was my ex-wife's car but still under my name on the loan. She just dropped it off and said she does not want to pay for it anymore. I called the bank to confirm they still had the loan in house, I know she was trying to get it put in her name and refinance it but this never happened. Just seems weird that it suddenly was marked as closed/removed from my report.
I know I can't be that lucky (assuming I don't pay and it gets repossessed), will that re-open the account in my credit report then? Obviously I didn't volunteer that info to the bank.

Hi Mark!
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with an auto loan account that was on your credit report.
If you think your credit report is incorrect, I recommend contacting TransUnion. By contacting TransUnion directly, you can submit a claim to dispute incorrect or missing information on your credit report and make necessary updates to your credit profile. TransUnion's Dispute Your Credit page is a great place to start.
