Checking account to open with NO initial money

I was wondering if anyone had heard of a checking account you can open without an initial transfer of money into it. 

The reason I am asking is: I am working on a GoFundMe campaign, and it needs somewhere to transfer money to, but there is no bank account at the moment. That got me thinking about if this was a thing and if it was possible to make an account to then transfer money into.

  I have had at least one checking account that did not require an opening balance.

  This 2 months old, but I opened a Schwab broker account with a free checking account attached. they required no money to start the account. the checking account is now 5 years old and i have never made a deposit.
