LTC insurance vs life vs hybrid insurance?

I currently have LTC insurance. Someone told me I should ditch the LTC insurance, mainly because LTC payouts barely cover what I'd need if I needed up in a facility, and get life insurance, especially because I have no children. I understand certain life insurance policies pay for LTC. I'm confused about the options with LTC vs whole life vs term life vs hybrid policies. I have no idea what to do, to be honest. Thank you in advance for your guidance.
