Free checking with external outgoing transfers using routing number

Hi, some new financial accounts like Chime and Porte do not allow transfers out using routing number (they do support transfers in!). Is there an account with no fees and any other great features that does support traditional EFT/ACH transfers out using account/routing number? This is to help someone I know find a new account and avoid sending money from a Chime account to send money to a rent payment service (via apartments.com) where the only way with Chime is to transfer is via ATM/login and they were charged ~$50 in fees.

  Hey Gary! That's a great question. It sounds like you're looking for a financial institution that lets you send transfers just by using the account and routing number, rather than by linking the accounts with a third party linking service. Unfortunately, NerdWallet doesn't have a resource with that information. Bank web sites may not contain that high of a level of detail either, you may need to contact a variety of banks and credit unions to find one that meets your criteria. Good luck in your search!
