CREDIT REPAIR SERVICE MANDATES SHARE OF SS# CARD FOR SERVICES
If a Credit Repair Service requests x2 forms of ID, then (at a later date), specifies "We must have photo-copies of both your State Drivers License & SS" Card, should a brow raise?
When I offer any other form of ID (besides SS# Card), such as a US Passport, Military, or Veterans Administration ID, I get a firm "No". We must have a photocopy of your SS# Card, Credit Karma, and Experian login credentials.
What I already know: The choice to furnish the documents requested is mine & I can otherwise just walk away.
What I'm not clear on:
Is the request legal?
Is the request business as usual?
Is the requestor bound by Law (UCC & any other US Law | Ethics), in their use & handling of my SS# Card?
Might this be an attempt to access my Strawman?
Any relative feedback is thoroughly appreciated!

Hi JD! Thanks for reaching out to NerdWallet! Providing log in credentials and photocopies of identification documents as you described is not something I would do.
