Huge Differences in Different Types of Credit Scores

Hi April, and welcome to the NerdWallet community! That's a great question, and one we see commonly.
While it can feel alarming to see such a difference between your scores, it's not all that unusual and in most cases there's no cause for concern.
VantageScore and FICO use the same information from your credit report to produce your credit score, but the scoring models are not exactly the same. This means that information on your credit report might be treated differently by each model, resulting in (sometimes significantly) different scores.
