Lots of Duplicate Transactions Showing Up
Hello Nerdwallet Crew,
I am a new convert to the app, just signed up today! Anyways, I've linked all my accounts and set up my profile. I'm noticing lots (10+) duplicate transactions. These are counted twice towards my spending and it totally throws off my budgeting. I thought the issue might be accounts. For example, I use a credit card and then pay that off each month from my bank. So I thought the spending might be counting twice, once from the credit card account and once from the bank account, but that is not the case. Inside the transaction details both are listed as coming from the Credit card account. I've checked my credit card statements to confirm that I actually wasn't charged twice for all these transactions. I have been manually "hide from calculations" on each duplicate, but it gets old after awhile and doesn't foster trust in the app. Please advise how I can fix this issue?

Welcome to NerdWallet, Pine Watt!
I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about this issue. Agreed that hiding those transactions is not a reasonable long-term solution to this and our support team is here to help get this straightened out :)
When you have a chance, can you please shoot us an email at support@nerdwallet.com, including in which accounts (name of financial institution) you're seeing duplicate transactions? It'd be especially helpful if you could pass along a screenshot of what you are seeing in your NerdWallet account, so we can identify exactly which transactions are appearing twice.
Once we have this info we can escalate this to our third party partner (who manages the account linking process) to investigate further. Looking forward to hearing from you!Comment actions -
