First Time With Bank Accounts/Job

    I think your best bet is to look at a local branch bank or credit union. There are plenty of "NO FEE" checking accounts out there. My local credit union is free checking with an attached savings account(min savings balance is a $10 bill). If no luck on your own, you may need to setup a joint account with a parent just to get you rolling. this is a great way for them to give you your spending money, book money etc.. they can just transfer direct to your account.

    just walk into a branch, tell them your situation, and make sure you do not accept an account that has recurring fees of any kind. there are lots of good salesman in the world, don't feel the pressure to say yes.
