Choosing a credit card
Hello all,
I am indifferent and seeking some guidance on choosing another credit card. A little background: my credit is immaculate, my monthly spending is about 1.5-2k/month, I am not opposed to an annual fee, I am getting ready to travel via Southwest with 4 flights in roughly about a 2 month span, I mostly fly Southwest, and lastly I do not plan on internationally traveling for at least another 2+ years. I currently have a discover cash-back and the Wells Fargo autograph card which have both done me quite well. I am wondering if I should keep rocking with those two cards or since I am going to be flying Southwest a lot in the coming months if I should reap the benefits of getting a Southwest card or if there are any suggestions to another different card that is out there for traveling. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi David - thanks for posting!
Hopefully other members will weigh in also, but here are some considerations that may be useful:
Southwest Airlines offers an array of branded credit cards, with a variety of perks and earnings options. Because Southwest operates differently from other carriers, its cards are different, too. Most notably:
-
Southwest doesn't charge most flyers for checked baggage, so a Southwest card isn't going to save you money on bag fees. You don't get priority boarding on every flight, either.
-
Southwest doesn't operate a network of airport lounges, so there is no high-end card with lounge privileges.
- Southwest does not offer a no-annual-fee credit card.
There are a lot of great cards out there - you may want to use the credit card recommendation tool to help hone in on what you'd find most useful in a new card (travel rewards vs cash back, etc.,) compared to the cards you already have.
Good luck and have a great weekend!
