    Thanks for reaching out to NerdWallet; we're happy to help! We definitely want your spending totals to be correct.


    The good news is that if a transaction's category isn't registering correctly, you can easily edit it by following these steps:


    • Select the transaction you want to edit
    • Choose the appropriate category from the dropdown menu
    • Choose whether you want to update all transactions from this merchant to reflect the new category (this feature is only available in the phone app)


    Note that changing a credit card payment to transfer will remove the seemingly "duplicate" transaction from your spending totals.
