United Mileageplus Premier Qualifying Points (PQP)

I have a Chase United credit card that generates 500 PQPs for every $12,000 spent on my United card.  The statement date on this card is the 6th of each month.  My question is, which monthly statement is used to start the new calendar year?  The January 6th 2023 statement will cover mostly 2022 transactions from December 7th to January 6th, while the February statement covers only 2023 transactions.  The United miles activity chart lists detailed monthly data for many years but does not indicate the beginning or end of a calendar year.

  Hi Keith! That's a good question. 

  Unfortunately, we have no information or insights into how Chase or United track purchases and calculate rewards points. However, it may be helpful to refocus your question to them. I'm thinking that perhaps the statement dates are not as important as the dates that the transactions on the statements were made.
