Where is my card?
It typically takes 10 business days for your NerdUp card to arrive. If you have not received your card after 10 business days, you can request a reissue from the ‘Settings’ section in the app by choosing the 'Report lost, stolen, or damaged card' option.
How do I activate my card?
You can activate your card by going to the ‘Settings' section of the app and choosing the "Activate physical card" option, or by calling the number on the back of your card.
How do I set or reset my card PIN?
You can set or reset your PIN in the ‘Settings' section of the app by selecting the, "Set card PIN" option, or by calling the number on the back of your card.
What’s the billing address associated with my card?
Your billing address is also your mailing address on file.
How can I change my mailing address?
To change your billing address please send us an email at cardsupport@nerdwallet1.zendesk.com or call the number on the back of your card and our Nerds will be happy to help! You will need to verify your identity and supply documentation to support your change of information request.
My card was lost or stolen. What should I do?
If your card was lost or stolen, you can request a new card immediately through the app in the SETTINGS menu by choosing the, "Report lost, stolen, or damaged card" option.
If fraudulent transactions were made on the card, call the number on the back of the card to open a transaction dispute.
How do I replace, reissue, cancel a card?
You can replace, reissue or cancel your card using the 'Report lost, stolen, or damaged card' or ‘Cancel card’ option under the ‘Settings’ menu.
How do I dispute a transaction that occurred on my card?
In the case of fraudulent transactions you can reissue the card immediately from the ‘Settings’ section of your account. You can also call the number on the back of your card to open a transaction dispute.
Note: A dispute cannot be initiated on a pending transaction. The transaction must be settled/complete before a dispute can be filed.
What is the status of my transaction dispute?
Transaction disputes can take up to 90 days after the dispute is filed to come to a resolution.
For status updates, call the number on the back of your card to reach the Dispute Resolution Team.
How do I change/update my name?
To change or update your name please send us an email at cardsupport@nerdwallet1.zendesk.com or call the number on the back of your card and our Nerds will be happy to help! Please note that if a card was issued with the old name, Bond will not automatically reissue the card upon name update.
Why did my card transaction get declined?
Transaction status and details can be viewed within the NerdWallet app by navigating to SETTINGS > OVERVIEW > TRANSACTIONS > SELECT TRANSACTION to see details.
If the transaction is not showing, this means the transaction failed at the Point-of-Sale or was blocked by the merchant before it was sent out to the network, in which case you’ll want to try the transaction again or reach out to the merchant for more information.
Credit Limits, Fees & Statements
What’s my credit limit?
Your available credit limit is based on the minimum initial deposit ($100) up to $10,000 and dynamically adjusts per the balance. You can view your balance along with your available spend amount in the ‘Overview’ section of the app.
How can I increase my credit limit?
You can increase your credit limit by depositing additional funds into your secured deposit account (up to $10,000) within the app.
What is the statement cutoff date? When will I get my statement?
The statement cutoff date is the last day of the month and an electronic statement will be available 2 days after.
Can I change my payment due date?
Payment due dates cannot be changed at this time. The payment due date is 23 calendar days after the statement cutoff date.
What are the fees associated with my account?
A $5 fee will be charged for late or returned payments. There is a $3 fee charged for cash advances.
Deposits & Transfers
How do I pay my balance?
You can make payments and set up auto-pay in the ‘Payments’ section of the app.
What is my secure deposit account routing and account number?
You can view the routing number and account number of your secure deposit account within the app by navigating to SETTINGS > DEPOSIT ACCOUNT AND ACTIVITIES > ACCOUNT AND ROUTING NUMBERS.
When will my funds be available? / Where are my funds?
Deposits made to your secured deposit account are processed using the regular ACH timelines (2 business days for Next Day, or 4 business days for Standard ACH.)
For transfers initiated from external bank accounts, funds will be available the same day the transfer is received, typically 1-2 business days after it was initiated.

When will my payment process?
Payments are processed 1 day after they are initiated.
How do I withdraw funds from my secure deposit account?
To withdraw funds from your secure deposit account you can initiate a transfer from within the app by navigating to SETTINGS > LINKED ACCOUNTS > NEW TRANSFER, or from your external account, which will vary by financial institution.

You can view the status of your application by logging into the app. For assistance, please send us an email at cardsupport@nerdwallet1.zendesk.com and our Nerds will be happy to help! Note: It typically takes 10 business days for a card to arrive. If you have not received your card after 10 business days you can request a reissue from the ‘Settings’ section within the app.
Why was my application denied?
You will receive an Adverse Action Notice via email with the reason for denial. The most common reason for a denied application is trouble confirming identity. For assistance, please send us an email at cardsupport@nerdwallet1.zendesk.com and our Nerds will be happy to help!
If there is no credit credit check, why do you need to know my Social Security Number?
Although no credit check is required to qualify for a NerdUp by NerdWallet card, your social security number is needed as part of our automated identification verification process. Our system needs to confirm that all NerdUp applicants are who they say they are for security purposes This step is important to keep you safe!
Credit Reporting
Why is it reported that I have a late/delinquent payment on my credit report?
Late payments are reported when a payment for a prior statement balance is not received within 30 days of the payment due date.
